Following changes that were made on St Clare in 2008 we planned
for similar work to be undertaken on
Dandelion during 2009. In March 2009 work was underway at Mills Dockyard on the Erewash canal
to change some windows on Dandelion and to paint the superstructure.

At the end of the 2009 season in November we moved Dandelion back to
Mills Dockyard in readiness for the fitting of a new engine ready for the
2010 season. This work is being done by John Else, marine engineer.
Unfortunately problems with a boat in the dock delayed the start of
work on our boat and then the severe weather intervened. Dandelion
was only returned to Loughborough in March 2010.
For the 2010 season onwards we have made arrangements to operate
Dandelion from Pillings Lock Marina in Quorn. Unfortunately in
2009 we had
suffered theft of fuel from Dandelion whilst at the Loughborough mooring.
The new mooring being prepared at Pillings is shown below. We were
pleased to obtain a grant from the local area forum in order to contribute
to the cost of customising the mooring to suit the operation of our lift
and ramp.

The work undertaken on St Clare during the winter included changes to the
toilet and galley. St Clare was ready and returned
to service in late April 2010.
